Real Priorities

Anyone close to me, or an acquaintance in the store, knows I am totally bugged by the fact that my ONLY daughter has no hair. She was so squeaky bald as a baby, she was "smooth as a seal"! All three of the boys had way more hair, in fact, right now, Sam at 3 months old has more hair than Lucy does at 18 months old. DUH! Well she is finally not bald, even though there isn't much there still. This picture represents a great day for me, however. It was the first time I pulled her little wispies into a ponytail on the top of her head. It was nearly impossible, but I somehow made it work. What fun, what fun!

Oh, honey - I so know your pain! I had the same experience with Erin - bald as an endangered eagle for years! An old ward member came to visit a couple months ago and took one look at E and screamed "She grew hair!". Keep the faith - more will come.

Awww! She looks so precious! I'm so glad that you FINALLY got to put a little hair decor on your only daughter. If she's anything like you, though, I'm sure she will grow up to have a full, thick gorgeous head of hair (that looks fabulous for 3 days of no washing!!!) If only I was blessed with your hair . . . sigh!

Thanks your stars she doesn't have hair!!! My little Bridget has so much hair and every day when it's time to pull it up you would think I was beating the child to death...and by the time I'm done I'm about to beat her. She screams bloody murder and says "be soft mom be soft" when I haven't even touched her head!! I think bald is beautiful!!

Very cute! Just wait, though. If she's like Emily, her sides will STILL be too short to pull back nicely when she's almost 3. A quick vent: you posted this yesterday and now have 6 comments. I also posted one last night and I only have one. What the heck? I must have lame people in my blogging circle.

Michelle, I have to laugh at your situation because every picture I have of me before the age of 2 is of a cute, bald, little 'ol me! My Mom said she was so happy when I finally got hair. It will come! Cute post and picture.

Isn't that just the way things go? Both our boys have beautiful long eyelashes and Javier has had great hair. I'm sure that if we ever had a girl she'd have no lashes, no brows and be completely bald.

Hang in there Lucy! I was 3 before my hair finally took off, and now look...no wait...don't. :-)

Cute, bald Lucy! She'll have hair soon enough and an opinion of how you can do it... She looks so cute with her ponytail with five strands of hair in it! -Nat

OK - I totally know how you feel! I'm fretting with the same problem with my only girl. Isabella is 16 months old and also, sadly, with very little hair. Gavin (3) had long curls haning down from his head at this age - CRAZY! So, I am impressed at your effort and success at getting some of that hair in a pony...YEAH!

I can see the whispies!!!! YEA! My boys have thick hair that grows really fast and Kelsey's hair has never gotten any longer than it is right now. and the only hair cut she has had (besides trims), was the one Sarah gave here when she was 3. We have no luck in the hair department either.
