Oops

I was at TJMaxx with my four kids, which was probably a big oops to begin with. But it was just a quick trip to return something and check out the toys. I asked the boys to keep and eye on Lucy while I looked at the clothes "right here" next to the toys. Pretty soon Max said, "Where's Lucy?" Both of the boys were looking around and when they couldn't spot her right away I told Max to stay with Sam, Jack to go this way, and I would go that way. We couldn't find her, and I didn't even have time to get nervous when I heard overhead, "Could the mother of the young girl with the pink bow please come to customer service." Then of course, they repeated it, "Could the mother of the young girl with the pink bow please come to customer service." OOOPS! Even worse than me feeling guilty for losing my daughter was that I was somewhat proud that she was recognized by her BOW! How lame am I?

That is too funny! I know that once I add more kids to the mix of it all, I'll be miss placing kids and things all the time :)

OH I am so glad Lucy was OK and found quickly! And I love that she was identified by the bow...that's priceless!

Yes, that's just like you Michelle to raise your child to believe her identity comes from material things like pink bows! I worry for you both!

WAH HA HA!

and of course I have nudie pics - my fav it the one at my Gmas house at 6 weeks!

I still have sour cream - send cake recipe soon. :)

Thanks for the comment on our blog Michelle! It was fun to check yours out too (-:
If I had a cute little girl with such darling bows I would be proud of them too! (Do you make them yourself??)

The bow is very important on girls! Good job, Michelle!

Michelle, that is so scary! I hate that moment when you look away and at that same moment they are the fastest kid in the world. I am glad all is well with your darling bow-wearing daughter! She is too cute!

Why do we torture ourselves so? I do the same thing and go grocery shopping with all four. In fact today Joshua managed to spill 16 oz of peanuts ALL on the floor between the bananas and the oranges. Needless to say, no one could roll their carts through the mess and we were getting questionable looks all over. Thank goodness the shopping was over and we got the heck out of there!

Nice one! Way to leave the boys in charge of Lucy. JK. I'm glad she was found safe and sound. That's a great pic of her and it looks like she has way more. Yea! Thanks for FOUR comments on my post. You're my hero.

That's scary...but it's happened to me dozens of times with Luke. He does not stay put for 2 seconds. I love that she was identified by her cute pink bow...I want a girl!!!!!!!

Scary, but I too would have been a proud mom. Love it. You're good!

You should be proud of her bows. She looks darling in them. It looks like she is getting hair. Pretty soon you can put it in ponytails. That was a happy day for me, when Hallee's hair would fit in a ponytail. And she's never had a haircut and she will be 4 in July.

What if Lucy had not been wearing her bow? How would you ever have identified her? Thank goodness for your hair bow talent!!!
